Xbox One games playable during disc installation

Xbox One games can officially be played during installation, Microsoft has confirmed.

It follows previous news that Xbox One titles can be played while they’re being downloaded, just like the PlayStation 4. Microsoft has now confirmed to IGN that the same is true for disc-based titles.

A  Microsoft representative told the site, “Whether you are downloading a game digitally or from a disc, the game will be downloaded in segments. Once the required data –a fraction of the entire game – is on the hard drive, you can start playing while the rest of the title finishes downloading in the background.”

Can you wait for a game to download… or are you as impatient as me? Give us your thoughts in the comments section below.

The Overlord, the master, the one who tries to get things done… I think they call it the “Editor-in-Chief”… I may even be cooler than Master Chief, but that remains to be questioned.
